Overview
A kneeling crunch against cable resistance that trains the abs. The weight stack makes it easy to progress over time.
How to do it
Attach a rope to a high pulley and kneel facing the machine.
Hold the rope ends beside your head.
Keep your hips still and slightly back.
Crunch down by rounding your spine, bringing your elbows toward your thighs.
Squeeze your abs, then return slowly to the start.
Tips
- Think of bringing your ribs toward your pelvis.
- Keep your arms fixed; they only hold the rope.
Common mistakes
- Sitting back with your hips instead of crunching your spine.
- Pulling with your arms.
- Using too much weight and shortening the range.
