Overview

A reverse fly on the pec deck machine that targets the rear shoulders and upper back.

How to do it

  1. Set the handles to the rear position and adjust the seat so they are at shoulder height.

  2. Sit facing the machine with your chest against the pad.

  3. Grab the handles with your arms straight and a slight bend in your elbows.

  4. Sweep your arms out and back until they are in line with your body.

  5. Pause briefly, then return slowly to the start.

Tips

  • Keep your wrists straight and your grip relaxed.
  • Keep your shoulders down and think about pushing the handles out wide.

Common mistakes

  • Bending your elbows to pull the handles past your body.
  • Shrugging your shoulders as you pull.
  • Using momentum to swing the handles back.
